About Seacoast Chinese Center

The Seacoast Chinese Center offers Chinese culture, language, and Chen tai chi and Shaolin kung fu martial arts instruction for the better understanding of others and fuller enrichment of your life in the Portsmouth, Greenland, Stratham, Dover, Durham, Rochester, Exceter, Kittery, York, Berwick, Rye, Hampton Falls, Newington, Newmarket, and New Castle areas of New Hampshire and Southern Maine.

Laoshi John Jin began his Chinese martial arts training in 1965 at age 11. After 20 years of continuous study and promotion, he started teaching in China and is recognized by the Zhejiang Wushu Association of China with 3rd level, 1st Grade Traditional Chinese Martial Art Instructor certification.

Laoshi Jin graduated from Hangzhou University where he studied culture and languages. He has traveled extensively through the South Pacific and Eastern Africa as a member of Chinese Expert Team for the purpose of expanding Chinese cultural awareness. As Chinese martial arts isn't about fighting, but life long fulfillment of the whole person, Laoshi Jin has studied Chinese calligraphy and Guzheng musical instrument playing. He continues to advance his cultural, language, martial arts, and music skills with annual, month-long sabbaticals to China.
